Alchemer Setup Guide

This article will walk you through setting up your Alchemer survey to pass respondent IDs, as well as properly redirect respondents upon survey completion, termination, or quota fulfillment.

Step 1: Pass respondent IDs into your survey (0:13 of video)

• Navigate to the first block in your survey.
• Select Action > Hidden Value > Add.
• Select a Merge Code > About the Respondent > URL Variable > Insert.
• Type aid as the variable name.
• Click Save Action to apply the setting.

Step 2: Add a completion URL (0:37 of video)

Redirect respondents who successfully complete the survey.

• Scroll to the Thank You page in your survey.
• Select Action > URL Redirect > Add.
• Paste in your Completion URL (provided in your project-specific submission page).
• Click Save Action.

Step 3: Add a termination URL (1:09 of video)

Redirect respondents who are disqualified based on their survey responses.

• Select Skip or Disqualify below the block containing your screening question.
• Set the screening condition (e.g., if a respondent selects “$1 to $49”).
• Choose Redirect to an External URL and Disqualify.
• Paste in https://r.centiment.co/r/client/terminate?aid=[url("aid")]
• Click Save Action.

Step 4: Add an over-quota URL (1:46 of video)

Redirect respondents when a quota has been filled.

• Navigate to Tools > Quotas.
• Select the specific quota you want to configure.
• Under Complete Actions, navigate to Stop collection of responses & redirect to a URL
• Paste in https://r.centiment.co/r/client/over-quota?aid=[url("aid")]
• Click Save Quota.
